This is a great opportunity for students in grades 6-8 to come in and learn some basic weight lifting. We have machine weights that are cut down to a smaller size for jr high students. We emphasize proper form and light weight with multiple repetitions. No matter what activity a student participates in, weight training is not only essential to success, but it is a life long health actvity. We also use a state of the art Vertimax jump training machine that most colleges and professional athletes train with. It also is adjusted to fit our jr high athletes. It will without a doubt increase vertical jump and or explosiveness. Coach Conway and Coach Spratt supervise this activity starting in January and continuing through April. It is open on a rotating basis between the girls and boys and is 7:30-8 AM. Please direct any questions to Coach Conway at Central school 547-2231.
